Real Madrid Deny Any Interest in Signing Chelsea Midfielder Enzo Fernandez

Real Madrid have firmly dismissed reports linking the club with a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, insisting they have no intention of signing the Argentine international.

The Spanish giants released an official statement to quash speculation that they were preparing a £120 million move for the World Cup-winning midfielder.

“In light of the reports and statements that have appeared in recent days regarding an alleged interest from Real Madrid CF in the player Enzo Fernández, the club wishes to state that it has not made any effort, either direct or indirect, to sign the aforementioned player and, likewise, has no intention of undertaking such an operation,” the statement read.

Real Madrid also expressed their admiration for Fernandez while stressing their respect for Chelsea and the strong relationship that exists between the two clubs.

The La Liga champions said they considered it necessary to publicly address the rumours because of the respect they have for Chelsea and their long-standing principles of institutional loyalty.

“Real Madrid wishes to express its utmost respect for Enzo Fernández, a great footballer whose career and quality are widely known, as well as for Chelsea FC, a club with which it maintains an excellent institutional relationship,” the club added.

The statement further criticised the continued circulation of what it described as false reports, saying such speculation only creates confusion among supporters and unfairly affects the clubs and individuals involved.

The clarification effectively ends speculation over a potential transfer, with Real Madrid making it clear they have neither approached Chelsea nor held any discussions over the midfielder.

Enzo Fernandez remains a key figure in Chelsea’s midfield and continues to be regarded as one of the Premier League club’s most important players.
