An elderly Nigerian man has gone viral after accusing a younger woman of rejecting his marriage proposal despite allegedly receiving years of financial support from him.

In a video circulating on social media, the visibly emotional man claimed he had played a significant role in supporting the woman’s lifestyle, business and family, only for her to refuse to marry him because of their age difference.

According to him, he paid her rent, financed her business and regularly gave her money to meet her personal needs.

“You are collecting my money. I have been supporting your career. I have been paying your rent and giving you money for your business. I have been taking you to restaurants and clubs. I even gave you money to pay your parents’ house rent and supported your brothers and sisters,” he said.

The man expressed disappointment that the woman only raised concerns about their age gap after he proposed marriage.

“You never thought about my age gap then. Now that I want to settle down with you, you are shy to tell your parents because I am an older man,” he added.

He further alleged that throughout their relationship, the woman never complained about his age while enjoying the benefits of his financial support.

“When I took you shopping, to restaurants and clubs, why didn’t you talk about age gap? Now you are saying people will talk because you want to marry an older man,” he stated.
