“Stupid Man!“: A-Plus Explodes at Flood Victim Who Blamed Him Over Poor Drainage

Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has sparked reactions on social media after angrily responding to a flood victim who blamed him for poor drainage in his constituency.
The incident followed heavy rains that caused widespread flooding in parts of the country, with many residents expressing frustration over the state of drainage systems and recurring flood challenges.
In a viral exchange, the flood victim reportedly criticised the Gomoa Central MP over what he described as poor drainage infrastructure in the constituency.
Reacting to the accusation, A-Plus lashed out at the man, describing him as “stupid” while dismissing the criticism directed at him. The lawmaker’s response has since generated widespread debate online, with many social media users divided over his remarks.
While some defended A-Plus, arguing that not all flooding issues can be blamed on Members of Parliament, others criticised his choice of words, insisting public officials should remain respectful even when responding to criticism.
The exchange comes at a time when flooding has once again dominated national discussions, following days of torrential rains that left several communities submerged, displaced residents and caused significant damage to property across parts of Accra and other areas.
The incident has further fueled conversations about accountability, drainage infrastructure and the responsibilities of public officials during natural disasters
