Speaking on the matter, Vim Lady argued that statements made publicly by individuals facing legal proceedings can potentially be examined during court processes, especially when authorities are building a case.

Her comments come after Abu Trica granted a widely discussed television interview before his extradition to the United States, where he is facing allegations connected to an alleged romance scam case.

According to Vim Lady, the decision to speak publicly about the allegations may have created an opportunity for prosecutors to examine his own words as part of their preparation for the case.

She suggested that people facing serious legal accusations should be cautious about public statements and allow their lawyers to guide them through communication strategies.

The media personality’s remarks have generated conversations among Ghanaians, with some agreeing that Abu Trica’s interview could have legal implications, while others believe he had the right to respond publicly to allegations against him.

Abu Trica was extradited to the United States after an Accra High Court order allowed his transfer to face charges linked to an alleged $8 million romance scam targeting American victims.

Before his extradition, his lawyer Oliver Barker-Vormawor also addressed discussions surrounding the interview, including questions about whether granting the interview was the right decision.

The socialite has since appeared before a US federal court, where he denied wrongdoing and maintained his innocence.

As the case continues, attention remains focused on the evidence that will be presented by both the prosecution and defence, with Abu Trica expected to continue his legal fight through his US-based defence team.
