Actor Clement Bonney (Mr. Beautiful) Adapts to Hardships by Selling Sugarcane and Coconuts

Ghanaian actor Mr. Beautiful, whose real name is Clement Bonney, recently revealed in an interview with Cape Coast-based Property FM that he has resorted to selling sugarcane and coconuts in order to survive the hardships caused by the collapse of the movie industry in Ghana. Bonney, who is also a comedian, expressed that the decline of the movie industry has brought about extreme difficulties for those actively involved in the profession.

In the interview, Bonney mentioned, “The collapse of the movie industry has brought extreme hardships on some of us who are actively engaged in such a venture. In order to survive the hardships in Ghana due to the collapse of the movie industry, I now sell sugarcane and coconut.” He further explained that the coconuts he sells are grown in his hometown, Abura Dunkwa, which is located in the Central Region of Ghana.

It is unfortunate to see a popular actor like Mr. Beautiful facing such challenges and having to explore alternative means of making a living. The difficulties faced by individuals in the entertainment industry reflect the broader challenges experienced by many in Ghana due to the decline of the movie industry.
