CCTV Captures Moment Customer Steals GH¢40,000 from Children’s Shoe Shop in Lapaz
A shop owner at Lapaz in Accra has reportedly lost GH¢40,000 after a customer allegedly stole a bag containing the money and fled the shop.
According to reports, the incident happened inside a children’s shoe and slippers shop, where CCTV cameras captured the suspect picking up the bag and quietly walking out of the premises. The shop owner is said to have noticed the missing cash moments later, but the suspect had already escaped.
Footage from the CCTV camera has since surfaced on social media, showing the suspected thief entering the shop under the guise of being a customer before taking the bag and leaving. The video has sparked outrage online, with many Ghanaians calling for the suspect to be identified and brought to justice.
The matter has reportedly been reported to the police for investigation, as the shop owner seeks help to recover the stolen money. Authorities are urging the public to provide any useful information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.
